AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety Report on Hit and Run Accidents, April 2018

Sadly, the latest NTSA statistics available for analysis from 2016, but they still show the rate of hit and run accidents is soaring. One every 43 seconds in 2015 with the 2,049 fatalities on record 2016 as being the highest number ever recorded. 65% of of those hit and runs involve pedestrians and cyclists, with pedestrians making up the vast majority. Worse yet, our state of New Mexico leads the country!
